Dear colleagues,

On behalf of all the prisoners—the children, the underage women, the 99 women, and the sick—we thank you for your support.

More than 10,000 people are currently held in the cells of the occupation prisons. In addition, thousands have disappeared; it is unknown whether they are still alive or have been killed. The 9,400 prisoners whose identities are known are currently experiencing the worst forms of abuse. They are being beaten, and there are reports of rapes. They are malnourished; on average, they have lost a third of their body weight. Necessary medical care is being denied to them. Infectious diseases, particularly skin diseases, are spreading. 90 prisoners have already died as a result of torture. International organizations, such as the International Committee of the Red Cross, are being denied access to the prisoners.

Dear friends, we are demonstrating today because we are deeply concerned for the lives of Dr. Hosam Abu Safiya and all other prisoners.

In addition to the living conditions in the prisons, there are new Israeli laws:
1. The law to revoke the citizenship of Palestinians with Israeli passports under the accusation of terrorism.
2. The law for the execution of so-called “illegal combatants” (Israel claims that Dr. Abu Safiya is a Hamas commander).
3. The law for the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners.

These laws violate, first, international and humanitarian law. Second, they exceed the powers of the Israeli Knesset. Third, they are racist laws directed exclusively against Arab Palestinians, while they do not apply to violent settlers who kill people and burn down homes and crops under the protection of the occupation army.

What the occupying power is practicing is the continuation of genocide.

We demand:
1. Measures and sanctions against the occupation government to stop these crimes and to repeal their racist laws, especially the death penalty law.
2. That legislative institutions and parliaments of all countries boycott the Israeli Knesset.
3. That the International Committee of the Red Cross, Amnesty International, and other humanitarian organizations fulfill their legal and humanitarian duties, visit the prisons, and take care of the prisoners.
4. That the International Criminal Court must enforce its decisions and hold the responsible Israeli ministers accountable or arrest them.
5. We demand an end to arms shipments and financial support for the Netanyahu government.

Boycott Israel!
Freedom for Hosam Abu Safiya!
Freedom for all prisoners in Israeli prisons!
Free free Palestine!
